Bella's hip hot spot had developed from licking in response to allergy-related itching — the secondary hot spot then became more irritating than the original allergy. We clipped a margin around the hot spot to allow air circulation, cleaned the moist surface with an antimicrobial solution, and applied a drying and soothing spray. Owner was counseled on allergy management strategies and advised to follow up with a veterinarian for allergy testing and potential long-term treatment. Rocco's six-week appointment ran 65 minutes — covering a de-shedding bath (rubber curry pre-treatment, de-shedding shampoo, high-velocity blow-out), nail grinding, and ear cleaning. The short coat showed no skin issues. Rocco demonstrated the cooperative nature common in the breed — sitting calmly through nail grinding without restraint required. At six to eight week intervals, Pit Bull grooming is straightforward and affordable.
